Oh how I love thee..abstract florals!!
My happy place outside of the garden is getting loss in creating abstract florals.
The process goes something like this… I splash or roll different colored paint onto the canvas or wood cradle board. Now how about some marks… pens, pencils, stencils or whatever is in my reach. Now what…ooh how about all that sheet music when you use to play the flute??? Yah , I love that stuff !! Great ! Keep going…More paint, then more marks , the music is playing and the only thing on my mind is what’s next. Where I’m going or even what the end results will be doesn’t even cross my mind at this point.
At some point in time I decide there is enough interest on the canvas that I can start looking for what the painting will become. As I mentioned earlier, I’m obsessed with flowers, so where are they??This can be rather challenging because I can see so many options and directions to go but usually several objects are calling my attention. Now it’s my job to pull them out so you can see them too.
